The Australasian Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) exists for the purpose of promoting the development of professionalism in manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution and service industries in Australia, South East Asia and New Zealand, through the services we provide, both to our members and Australian industry in general, being:

Formal education programs designed to provide a practical understanding of the principles of production and inventory management, and other matters relevant to the expansion of knowledge in the manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution and services industries;
- Encouraging and assisting education and research in the field of production, inventory and service management;
- Holding formal and informal public meetings, lectures and discussion groups and regular publications of appropriate materials, which will enable members and the public to become aware of elements vital to business and which will enable members to increase their technical ability and thus raise the standards of Australasian manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution and service industries;
- Bringing together members of the manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution and service industries for the specific purpose of improving, through the development of participants' technical ability, the field of Supply Chain Management, thus creating a more qualified and efficient industry in Australasia. Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA)
AIIA is the peak body in Australia for the Information and Communications

Australian Computer Society (ACS)
ACS is Australia's recognised association for ICT professionals, attracting
a membership of over 16,000 individuals. The ACS is a public voice of
the ICT profession and a guardian of professional ethics and standards
in the ICT industry, to ensure the beneficial use of ICT.
The society was founded in 1966. Its objectives include the study and
application of Information Technology, competence in the practice of ICT
by people and organisations, a Code of Ethics and the promotion of standards.
